SNUBmonkey™ is a hands-on Linux education platform for sysadmins, tinkerers, developers, and technical professionals who want practical knowledge—not recycled theory.
Everything published is built around real-world infrastructure: Linux servers, networking, security, automation, self-hosting, troubleshooting, performance, and system administration.
The philosophy is simple:
If we haven’t tested it, we don’t pretend to know it.
Every tutorial is written from scratch, tested in a real environment, refined through actual troubleshooting, and documented with real commands, configurations, terminal output, and screenshots whenever they add value.
No content farms.
No endless copy-paste tutorials.
No theoretical fluff for the sake of filling a page.

Our History
SNUBmonkey™ was founded in 2020 by Yannick Coffi, a Linux Systems Administrator and security-focused infrastructure professional.
The idea started with a frustration familiar to anyone who has spent enough time administering Linux systems: finding a solution online often means digging through outdated documentation, recycled articles, incomplete configurations, or tutorials that were never actually tested.
Even popular technical websites can sometimes leave readers with instructions that look correct on paper but fall apart when applied to a real system.
SNUBmonkey™ was created to approach technical education differently.
Instead of asking:
“What can we write about?”
The philosophy is:
“What can we actually test, understand, and teach?”
That distinction is at the heart of the platform.
SNUBmonkey™ grew into a hands-on technical publication centered on Linux servers, infrastructure, security, automation, networking, troubleshooting, and self-hosting.
The goal has never been to produce the most content.
The goal is to produce content worth using.

The Founder
Yannick Coffi is a Linux Systems Administrator, security-focused infrastructure engineer, UX/UI Web Designer, and professional photographer.
His work sits at the intersection of technical infrastructure and creative expression. That combination is reflected in SNUBmonkey™ itself: technically deep underneath, but designed to make complex subjects understandable and approachable.
Driven by a fascination with Linux and a frustration with recycled and misleading technical content, Yannick created SNUBmonkey™ as a place where experience comes first.
